Urchfont Community Shop
Welcome to Urchfont Community Shop, opened in February 2005, the result of five years hard work by a dedicated team of local people who wanted to bring back the heart of the village.
Located in the old garage of The Lamb Inn, the shop has easy access and offers a wide range of goods, varying from fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, bread, tinned and packet items, ice creams, soft drinks and newspapers, to the sort of things which we can all run out of at inconvenient times, such as stationery, pharmacy products, cleaning products, batteries, matches and kindling. You can even drop off your dry cleaning, order your Calor Gas or collect your butchery items, supplied by Walter Rose of Devizes. There’s a Loyalty Card that earns a 5% discount off your next shop once full. This has been a great success and many customers are on their 4th or 5th card - pop in today to collect yours!.
The shop is run by volunteers and has three part-time Managers: Richard Mistlin (Shop Chairman) – weekends; Patty Frankel - Monday-Wednesday; Barbara Myers – Thursday and Liz Woodward – Friday.
We always need more volunteers, so please call us if you would like to be involved.
The Community Shop is also a great source of local information, has an advertising board, and sells tickets for most local events.
So why not come by and let us surprise you with all the things we offer?
